FC Porto 4-1 Casa Pia: Marcano's brace propels Porto to comfortable victory
Porto, Portugal - FC Porto secured a convincing 4-1 win over Casa Pia at the Estádio do Dragão on Sunday, with defender Pepe 'Marcano' scoring twice. The result keeps Porto firmly in contention for the title.
A dominant first half saw Porto take control of the game from the outset. Ivan Oliveira gave Casa Pia an early lead in the 12th minute, but Marcano quickly equalised just three minutes later. He headed home a corner kick from Otavio.
Porto continued their attacking pressure and doubled their lead before half-time. Evanilson scored after excellent build-up play from Galeno and Mateu Morente.
In the second half,Football Passionate Stadium Marcano sealed the win with his second goal of the game. Luiz Diaz's cross was headed home by Marcano from close range.
Tiquinho Soares also found the net late on to make it 4-1.
With this victory, FC Porto remain third in the Liga Portugal table, five points behind leaders Sporting CP. They have a game in hand over their rivals.
