Wu Xinghan: A Brief Overview of His Playing Time at Shandong Taishan
Wu Xinghan, born in April 1992, is a Chinese professional footballer who currently plays as a defender for the Chinese Super League club Shandong Taishan. Wu started his career with Jiangsu Sainty before moving to China League One side Tianjin Teda in 2015.
In his first season at Tianjin Teda, Wu made 34 appearances and scored one goal in all competitions. However, he struggled with injuries throughout the rest of his time there, making just four appearances in total over two seasons. In January 2017, Wu joined Shandong Taishan on loan from Tianjin Teda,Qatar Stars League Perspective where he spent the next two years.
During his time at Shandong Taishan, Wu made 68 appearances across all competitions, scoring three goals. He was also named the league's Best Defender in 2019, which was a testament to his defensive prowess. Despite this success, Wu faced criticism for his poor performance in the 2019 AFC Champions League, where he only managed to make five appearances and failed to score or assist any goals.
